There are several ways to determine you Basic Pay:-

  • Pay Slip: Look into you Pay Slip.
  • GA55a: You can also find out in your GA55a (Annual salary statement).
  • LPC: Last Pay Certificate provided from your Drawing Office.

As per rules defined under the Rajasthan service rules (RSR) gratuity is calculated according to below mentioned formula:
Gratuity = (Basic Pay + Dearness Allowance) × Years of Service × 1/4

Maximum gratuity payable is Rs. 25 lakhs, as per the latest rules.

It is a lump-sum amount received in advance, i.e. to be payable from your monthly pension.The formula is as follows:
Commutation Amount = (Commuted Value of Pension) × (Commutation Factor) × 12

  • Gratuity is tax-free up to the prescribed limit under the Income Tax Act.
  • Commutation of pension is optional.
